º£½ÇÉçÇø Celebrates Exemplary Employee Service

º£½ÇÉçÇø hosted the 34th Annual Celebration of Service on April 16, recognizing dedicated employees for their years of service on our campus.

Employees were recognized for 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service, as well as retirements from this past year. The Office of Mission & Identity also presented multiple Lasallian awards to deserving members of the University Community.

The Jill Canaday Unreasonable Lasallian Service Award honors an exceptional employee whose dedication to service and hospitality reflects the heart of our Lasallian values and our mission-driven, student-centered culture. 

The 2026 recipient of the Jill Canaday Unreasonable Lasallian Service Award is Christine Morrow, Administrative Assistant, College of Aviation, Science, and Technology.

The De La Salle Medallion for Exemplary Volunteer Service honors faculty and staff members who perform outstanding volunteer service at º£½ÇÉçÇø or in the community. Recipients are evaluated on quality of service, initiative, uniqueness of contribution, and effect of service on the nominee.

The 2026 recipient of the De La Salle Medallion for Exemplary Volunteer Service is Huma Zia, Program Director of Legal Studies.

The Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award honors an educator who exemplifies the values of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. Nominees must have been a faculty or staff member at º£½ÇÉçÇø for at least five years, work with the community to foster Gospel values in the lives of faculty, staff and students, and see º£½ÇÉçÇø as a place of educational excellence that shares in the teaching mission of the Catholic Church.

The 2026 recipient of the Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award is Joanne Kuttner, Director of Engaging Stories.
