MS Finance - Class of 2026

"I knew that a graduate degree would not only sharpen my technical skills but also broaden my career opportunities. ’s MS Finance program is STEM-designated, which I believe is critical for succeeding in today’s data-driven financial world. Also, I was drawn to the University’s Lasallian values and mission, as they truly resonate with me. Lewis offers a strong academic foundation where students can thrive. As an international student, I have found the resources and guidance here to be exceptional.
My experience at Lewis has been incredibly rewarding. Personally, I have grown more confident in public speaking, networking, and collaborating with diverse groups. Professionally, the coursework has been quite rigorous that I am able to directly apply what I learn in class to my internship and assistantship role. I am actively involved as a Graduate Assistant for the International Student and Global Scholar Services (ISGSS) and as President of the International Student Association (ISA), which has helped me develop strong leadership and organizational skills.
Be curious, proactive! Take advantage of every opportunity, whether it’s an internship, a student leadership role, or a campus event. Be sure to connect with your professors and peers, ask questions, and never be afraid to challenge yourself. The moment you choose to step outside your comfort zone is the moment you truly begin to live and grow."

				MBA, Class of 2026

"I am currently taking the MBA program at . I will be graduating in the Fall 2026 semester. I am pursuing this program to earn credits toward the CPA licensure and to expand my overall business knowledge. I chose because it is a Catholic institution that upholds the Lasallian spirit, something I personally value as a Catholic. In addition, its location in Greater Chicago offers numerous opportunities for my career growth. Its MBA program offers various micro-credentials to choose from, depending on each individual’s specialty.
Plan and strategize and make the most of every opportunity that arises along the way. But do not forget to pause, take a deep breath, and enjoy the journey while you’re in this program."

"I wanted to share details about my CPT employment experience, where I worked remotely for Aarchiess Tek as Intern. Although this was an unpaid position, it provided me with valuable hands-on experience in applying my technical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

I secured this opportunity through the Handshake App and LinkedIn, both of which helped me connect with industry professionals and potential employers.
My education in the MSCS program played a crucial role in preparing me for this role. Revisiting network and security concepts, along with guidance from Mr. Fuad Abu-Zahra and Mr. Khaled Alrfou, strengthened my proficiency in AI, security, object-oriented programming, and software engineering. Their mentorship helped refine my critical thinking, time management, and research abilities, which proved invaluable during my work.
This experience allowed me to enhance my problem-solving skills, gain exposure to industry best practices, and apply technical expertise in system design, security optimization, and software development."

"I love reading books across a wide range of genres, but true crime podcasts are my absolute favorite, and I could listen to them for hours! I’m a bit ambidextrous. I write with my right hand but often use my left hand for other tasks. I have a great memory for the most random facts and details, just don’t ask me where I left my keys!
If you plan to study with friends, I highly recommend using the university library over cafes. While cafes can be a fun change of scenery, I found that we were sometimes more easily distracted there. So, for productive group study sessions, the library is definitely the better choice! Also, if you want to go somewhere less busy than Chicago, Naperville is definitely worth checking out. There are lots of good restaurants and shops around that area."

”I attended from January 2018- December 2020. Within that time provided me with the knowledge, tools, and professional connections and opportunities for my future. The professors and relatively small classroom sizes really benefited me and I really enjoyed the academic side at Lewis. Your experience at Lewis will be whatever you make of it (as is with most experiences in life); I would highly encourage people to try new things, go to different student organizations, talk to strangers and make new friends, take advantage of the resources given to you, and visit the beautiful city of Chicago. These are the experiences that make great.”
