Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Global Internship work?
The Global Internship program will give students a unique and immersive international experience without physically traveling abroad.   º£½ÇÉçÇø has partnered with Virtual Internships (VI) as the internship placement provider.  VI will match students with an international based company, where students will work remotely to complete real-world professional projects in their field of choice.
What is an “internship placement provide”?
Virtual Internships (VI) is a partner of º£½ÇÉçÇø that specializes in internship placements for students.  VI will collect students’ initial screening questionnaire, and place students at an internship providing company.  Students then work directly with the company to complete their learning experience.
How much does the internship cost?
There is no associated cost to students for participating in the internship.  Internships are only available during the Fall and Spring semesters, and enrollment within the BGEN 47300 course will need to be within the credit limit to access normal “block tuition” rates.
What is the application deadline?
Interested students should apply as soon as possible.  Placing students at an international company can take up to 6 weeks in order to find the best fit for both employer and student.  So, we recommend that interested students apply at least 2 months prior to the start of the Fall or Spring semesters.
How do I register for my internship class?
You are not able to register for the internship course yourself. The Internship Coordinator and College of Business will register you in the course after you have been placed with a company.
