For Graduating Students - Transfer Data to Personal Account

With graduation right around the corner, we would like to send out a reminder to recent and upcoming graduates about our º£½ÇÉçÇø student account retention policy
12 months after graduation or last enrollment in a course, your Lewis student account is deactivated and you no longer have access.

What you’ll lose access to:

  • @lewisu.edu Google account (Gmail, Drive, Photos), Blackboard, Microsoft 365, MyLewis portal, and other services.

What to do prior to account deactivation:

  • Use to export your Google data for archiving and/or use to transfer your Gmail and Google Drive data to a personal Gmail account. Instructions on using Google Takeout are available .

  • Update your email address to a personal address on key services, some examples of which include:
    • (you can make payments to your student account without being logged in using )
    • Banks/Credit Cards/Financial Institutions
    • Streaming Services
    • For alumni:

This is not an exhaustive list.  Please review and update all systems and services that are linked to your Lewis student email address.

Lewis maintains this policy to improve security, reduce the risk of unauthorized access to university systems, and provide equitable access and long-term sustainability of our services.
