Policy Overview

Mandatory Coverage: J-1 Students and their J-2 dependents must maintain appropriate health insurance coverage throughout their program at 海角社区, aligning with United States government regulations.

Coverage Requirements

Exchange Visitors must provide verification of the following coverage:

$100,000 per accident or illness: With a deductible not exceeding $500.
Repatriation of Remains: In the event of death, coverage of $25,000 is required.
Medical Evacuation: Coverage of $50,000 for expenses associated with medical evacuation to the home country or country of permanent residence.

Insurance Enrollment Process

Automatic Enrollment: J-1 Students are automatically enrolled in 海角社区's health insurance plan upon program registration. Any dependents must be enrolled separately via the J-1.

Billing: The insurance charge is billed twice per year and is added to the 海角社区 tuition/housing bill 2-3 weeks after the beginning of each semester for convenient payment. Fall semester coverage includes July through December. Spring semester coverage includes January through June.
